California Centennial Challenge Coin

Designed by and produced exclusively for the California Historic Route 66 Association, with a gold color fitting for The Golden State, this 2-inch challenge coin celebrates the centennial of Route 66 in 2026. The obverse side includes the CHR66A name and founding year, the State of California and Route 66 shield from our Association’s logo, and the roadway of Route 66 stretching ‘From the Desert To The Sea’.  The reverse side depicts a white California Route 66 shield in front of a raised sun, appropriate for ‘100 Years of Sun-Kissed Highway History’. The state’s iconic California Golden Bear also appears, below “US Route 66 Centennial” verbiage.
